Production and Materials Coordinator
Role Overview
The Production and Materials Coordinator is responsible for supporting manufacturing and job shop operations by ensuring work orders, raw materials, components, and supplies are available to meet production schedules and customer deadlines. Also handles production flow in a manufacturing job shop environment to help ensure jobs are properly scheduled, supplied, tracked, and completed on time.
This role coordinates material movement, tracks inventory, monitors work orders, and works closely with planning, purchasing, warehouse, and production to maintain efficient workflow and on-time job completion. Located in our Shrewsbury, MA office.

What You Will Do:
- Coordinate the flow of raw materials, parts, and supplies to support manufacturing and job shop production
- Review and track work orders, job travelers, and production documentation
- Communicate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to resolve shortages and delays
- Track open jobs and help prioritize work based on due dates, material availability, and production capacity
- Maintain organized records of materials, orders, and production activity
- Help identify process issues and support continuous improvement in material flow and job coordination
- Ensure accuracy of inventory records, bills of materials, and planning data
- Update ERP/MRP systems and production records
- Follow up on delays, shortages, and delivery timelines
Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related field is required. Industry experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing, production coordination, inventory control, or job shop operations
- Knowledge of material handling, work orders, and inventory processes
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Shift Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, in office
The pay range for this role is $55,000-$85,000 per year. Compensation is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
