Role Overview
We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to work in our piezo assembly department based out of the Hopkinton, MA location. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. This position will be responsible for the build and assembly of precision machinery, automation systems, and motion control systems. Please note that we will be moving to our new facility in Shrewsbury, MA sometime between the end of October and beginning of November.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of devices involving small parts, precision alignments and metrology.
- Soldering of fine-gauge wires (28–36 AWG) and familiarity with epoxy application processes.
- Using a microscope for precision alignments and soldering of small devices.
- Interpreting mechanical and technical product drawings and documentation.
Skills and Requirements
- Ability to complete complex mechanical assembly tasks and precision metrology measurements.
- Moderate soldering experience, J-STD-001 preferred.
- Familiarity with precision mechanical alignments, tools and techniques.
- Can use multi-meters, wire strippers, and standard assembly and metrology tools.
- Ability to complete assembly and metrology records for regulatory and QC requirements.
- Use 5S and Lean principles in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Ability to work effectively from verbal instructions and minimal supervision.
- Ability to use standard office applications (Word, Excel, Email).
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferred
