We are looking for you Development Engineer - Systems Engineering [m/f/d]

Surrounded by a team of highly qualified and experienced colleagues within the Piezo Drives & Systems Technology Center, you will independently undertake challenging development tasks in the field of high-precision nanopositioning systems with piezoceramic drive units.

Your Tasks

  • Within the scope of the new and further technical development of piezo-based, mechatronic systems, you will create solution concepts for the implementation of intelligent functions, e.g., for status monitoring, data acquisition, or performance optimization.
  • For this purpose, you will select the required components, prepare their mechanical and electrical integration into products, design electronic circuitry, and create the software scripts necessary for operation and testing.
  • You will determine the properties of the functions to be developed with the help of analytical designs and simulations, but also by means of experimental tests and validation on the basis of laboratory set-ups.
  • You will define the resulting requirements for the Product, Software, and Electronics Development departments, and will assist them with the design and implementation of the corresponding functionalities in customer projects.

Your Profile

  • You have a degree (Master, Bachelor, or Doctor of Engineering) in the field of Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar
  • You have extensive knowledge and ideally practical experience in the fields of high-precision mechatronic systems and their control, data analysis, and sensor technology in status monitoring, as well as a basic understanding of control engineering
  • You have experience of programming (e.g., with Python or C/C++), as well as of using MATLAB/Simulink or other simulation environments for model-based development
  • You are characterized by your initiative, conscientiousness, creativity, and reliability, as well as your wide range of professional skills
  • You enjoy laboratory work, turning your ideas into reality, and working as part of a team
  • You have a good command of English and are willing to travel occasionally
